Everything you know about life insurance has changed. We kept up with the changes and can put together a great program to protect your future. The biggest change in life insurance is the adition of coverage for terminal conditions and life changing events like cancers, heart disease, and other disabilities. These endorsements allow the policyholder to get cash from the policy to cover the costs associated with terminal illnesses Life insurance is protection for the dreams you have. If your dream is to see your children go to college, life insurance can make sure that day comes in the event you aren’t there to see it in person. Life insurance can also suppliment retirement income plans. You can have the policy premiums grow in savings accounts, or even have a portion of the premium invested in mutual funds.
Here is what my 10 years of experience has taught me about life insurance:
- Don’t Wait - Life insurance costs more the older you are. You may also become uninsurable due to a medical condition. Get it done early and you can save thousands a year.
- Get real - All of us will die. Wether you call it kicking the bucket, buying the farm, or cashing in your chips it will happen to everyone. I have read many of the quotes from Coach John Wooden, and this one has proven itself to be true over and over again:“Failing to plan is planning to to Fail!”
- Yes, you can get it – Your health is a huge determining factor in your premium for life insurance. I have worked with people who have diabetes, heart problems, cancer survivors and gotten them insured. Yes it does cost more, but the cost reflects the risk the insurer is taking. If you dont try you wont know.
